In a remarkable demonstration of dedication and commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable Nigerians, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr. Betta Edu, defied the constraints of nightfall to kick off the verification process of the National Social Register in Zamfara State.

•The Honourable Minister Of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Dr Betta Edu is on a two day working visit to zamfara state for the following activities:
• Paid a courtesy call on the Governor of zamfara State H.E. Dauda Lawal at Government House
• Flag of Verification of the National Social Register in Zamfara state
•Handed over 40 Renewed Hope Houses built for internally displaced persons in zamfara state who were displaced by bandits.
•The houses are in the resettlement cities.
•One of the beneficiaries was a woman who was trending on social media as living with her children in the forest because she had no roof over her head.
• The beneficiaries appreciated the federal government for the timely intervention.
•Paid a visit to the Federal University of Gusau in the company of the Executive Governor we’re she met with the VC and 16 students rescued so far.
•Gave the assurance of President Bola Tinubu, who has directed the security organs to ensure the remaining students are rescued immediately.
•She met the victims and supported them to help quickly recover and reintegrate, promising some psychotherapy for victims.
•Flagged off the distribution of Palliatives to IDPs in zamfara state.
