A 25-year-old woman named Mirabel Ladi Agada Abraham was brutally killed in Abuja by unidentified assailants.

 

 

On Thursday, April 27, 2023, a person by the name of Abdullahi Haruna wrote on Facebook that Mirabel was reported missing on April 7 after she left her job at Gwarimpa but never returned.

 

 

 

He claims that a week later, her dismembered body was discovered dumped alongside Gwarimpa road. She had suffered a vicious stabbing.

 

The deceased was buried on April 23 in her hometown of Igah Ocheba, Olamaboro Local Government Area, Kogi State.

 

 

“The world is full of thorns of evil dressed as pebbles of petals. Because predators coexist with us, nowhere is safe and nobody is safe either. The watchword is to watch,” Haruna wrote.

 

 

Mirabel Ladi Agada was a lovely, kind, and innocent woman who worked alongside other people in Abuja to make ends meet. Her crime was trying to live and get by, just like any other person who has been given the freedom to pursue happiness.

 

 

 

“She sadly left one day in the first week of April and never came back. Her body was found in an abandoned location in Abuja’s city centre after several days of searching. She has been murdered by people who share the same air with her. The beautiful life of a young woman who was full of promise was cut short when she was left mutilated and her body dehumanised for the crime of being born in a place where there were human maggots. Her young body was lying in the red soil of Igah in Olamaboro Kogi state as you were reading this. We won’t see Mirabel the innocent ever again, unless perhaps on the day of judgement.”
