Senate President Godswill Akpabio, in his apology letter and defence against making ‘jest of poor Nigerians‘, has again made another damaging statement.
In his response letter signed by the Media Unit of the Office of the Senate President obtained by NEWS WEEK NIGERIA, Akpabio referred to Nigerians as “ordinary Nigerians”.

Recall that Akpabio, had during one of the plenary sessions, made a jest of poor Nigerians, after he jokingly said “Let The poor breathe”
The statement reads in part;
“We are deeply concerned about the negative tilting of a very harmless statement by President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, about his deep concern and that of the Senate on the plight of the ordinary Nigerians as a result of the prevailing economic situation in the country.”
