Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has reaffirmed his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s bid to secure a second term in office in the 2027 presidential election.

Adeleke made the declaration shortly after being declared the winner of the Osun State governorship election, securing another term as governor.

Speaking in a video interview while reacting to the outcome of the election, Adeleke expressed appreciation to President Tinubu for what he described as allowing democracy to prevail during the poll.

The governor, who noted that Tinubu is a son of Osun State, said he was reaffirming his endorsement of the President for the 2027 election.

“At this point, I must appreciate the President for a free and fair election. He is a son of this state and I hereby reaffirm my endorsement of him for a second term in the 2027 presidential election,” Adeleke said.

His latest declaration comes despite a call made by popular Nigerian musician, Davido, who is a prominent member of Adeleke’s campaign team, urging the governor to withdraw his support for Tinubu while voting and collation were ongoing on Saturday.
